What does a neck lift for men entail?

The neck is an area of the body where aging can be most apparent. The skin around the jaw begins to sag, fat may accumulate beneath the chin, and the neck muscles may loosen and form bands. Weight fluctuations and sun damage may also negatively affect the appearance of the neck.

Advanced minimally invasive neck lifts using LED guided sutures avoid large incisions. Dr Sayah places specialized sutures under the skin to tighten the neck muscles or Platysma with LED guidance. Liposuction is typically performed to remove excess fullness which typically accompanies an aging neck. The InMode device delivers high energy ultrasound to tighten your skin. Alternatively, Dr Sayah can use laser to tighten the skin during a minimally invasive male neck lift in Beverly Hills.

For those with marked aging of the neck or severe loose skin, a standard surgical neck lift may be a better option. In such cases, Dr Sayah makes small incisions inconspicuously behind the ears and under the chin. As before, the excess fat is removed by liposuction and laser or InMode ultrasound are applied to tighten your skin. The platysmas muscles are tightened like a trampoline to lift the remaining soft tissues in the neck. Loose skin is smoothed and made taut, refining the profile and excess is removed.

Who is considered a good candidate for a male neck lift?

While most neck lift clients tend to be in their 40s and upwards, some younger patients may require a neck lift due to poor genetics or other factors such as massive weight loss. Anyone who is struggling with sagging and laxity around the neck may benefit from a neck lift, as long as they are:

  • In good physical and psychological health
  • Free from any major medical issues that might interfere with treatment or recovery
  • A non-smoker
  • Realistic in their expectations for improvement

  • Reduction of submental fat (“double chin”)
  • Improved self-confidence
  • Long-lasting changes
  • Natural-looking results
