Why should I consider BOTOX for men?

Today, more and more men are opting to improve their appearances with cosmetic injectables such as BOTOX (affectionately called BRO-TOX), defying aging and rolling back the clock for a more youthful, relaxed countenance. Nearly 1 million cosmetic procedures per year are undergone by male clients who want to look and feel their best with minimal downtime or discomfort.

BOTOX (botulinum toxin) works by reducing activity in the tiny muscles in the face responsible for the muscle contractions that lead to wrinkles, fine lines, creases and folds. Once these tiny muscles are neutralized, the facial expression takes on a more pleasant, relaxed and refreshed appearance.

In additional to treating crows’ feet, worry lines, frown lines and smokers’ lines, Dr. Sayah's Los Angeles BOTOX for men can address:

  • Migraine headaches
  • Eye spasms
  • Arthritic pain
  • Bladder spasms
  • Crossed eyes
  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Cervical dystonia

Who makes a good male BOTOX candidate?

BOTOX is excellent for treating dynamic wrinkles and fine lines in certain areas of the face, such as between the eyes, around the mouth and nose, and in the forehead. Static wrinkles in other areas respond better to dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse.

A good Los Angeles male BOTOX candidate is healthy and has realistic expectations for what the treatment can accomplish. These patients would like to do something about aging, but are not yet interested in more invasive surgeries.

If for some reason BOTOX does not turn out to be a match for your needs, Dr. Sayah can recommend several other injectables that do the same thing. These may include Dysport and Xeomin. There are also some laser and ultrasound skin tightening procedures that may be beneficial in improving your complexion.

Is there any recovery from BOTOX for men?

Los Angeles BOTOX patients can typically return to their normal activities immediately after treatment, however you should avoid heavy physical labor or exercise for a minimum of 4 hours. You should also avoid lying flat on your back for several hours. Do not rub or massage the treated areas for at least 24 hours. You can, however, place ice packs on the face to relieve any mild discomfort.

Why should I choose Dr. Sayah for my Beverly Hills BOTOX treatment?

Most importantly: Dr. Sayah performs every single BOTOX and facial filler injection himself. Though we have nurses on staff, he feels it’s important to make sure a board-certified plastic surgeon performs your treatment with an artistic touch to achieve natural results. Botox injections are customized to your muscles of facial expression and your personal wishes for the degree of relaxation. In the wrong hands, a BOTOX treatment can leave you looking “frozen” or “done”. Dr. Sayah has over a decade of experience delivering natural, nuanced results to both male and female clients, and he is a master of artistic subtlety when it comes to facial rejuvenation with injectables.

Dr. Sayah first completed his BA in biochemistry at UCLA, graduating with honors. He then continued his studies at the David Geffen School of Medicine before achieving an elite fellowship plastic surgery at the UCLA Medical Center followed by another fellowship in the intricate field of endoscopic plastic surgery. Dr. Sayah is also known for his work in general surgery at NYU’s prestigious Langone Medical Center in the trauma and critical care units.
